    Settlement Agreements

    Settlement Agreement Calculator

See the gross breakdown of your proposed exit package. Keep pay you are owed separate from the compensation you are considering.

    Your pay & employment

Before tax. For variable pay, use an annualised representative weekly average.

    Notice & outstanding pay

Uses salary ÷ 52 ÷ working days. Variable pay may need a different rate.

Outstanding only; do not include amounts entered elsewhere.

Working notice and garden leave remain normal payroll payments, not an extra lump sum in this estimate.

    Compensation scenario

Exclude statutory redundancy and earnings above. This is your scenario, not a valuation of your claims.

No name or email needed. Calculator entries are not submitted or saved by this tool.

What the estimate does — and does not — include

A settlement is not priced by salary alone. Claim strength, restrictions, references, pensions and benefits may all affect your decision. This tool does not predict negotiated compensation or assess whether the offer is fair. Statutory redundancy uses complete years, age bands and a capped weekly rate; enhanced contractual schemes are not included.

Is this a valuation of my legal claims?

No. Compensation is the amount you enter, not a prediction of what an employer should offer. Your claims, evidence, contract and personal circumstances require independent legal advice.

Is all of the first £30,000 tax-free?

No. Salary, holiday pay, bonuses and notice pay are normally taxed as earnings. Statutory redundancy and qualifying termination compensation share a £30,000 exemption, subject to the tax rules and any Post-Employment Notice Pay adjustments.

Which redundancy rates does this use?

For leaving dates from 6 April 2026 to 5 April 2027, the weekly pay cap is £751 and service is capped at 20 years. At least two complete years of qualifying employment are required. Eligibility and exact service dates must still be checked.

Rates checked 14 October 2026. Sources: GOV.UK redundancy pay and termination payment tax rules. General information, not legal or tax advice.
