Ian Barton

About Ian

Ian Barton is a consultant solicitor at J Scott & Co where he attends to Wills, Tax Planning, Estate Administration and Lasting Powers of Attorney and to all related matters. He was formerly head of private client legal services at a large trust corporation in the City of London. He worked in Jersey and the Caribbean for three years and has extensive knowledge of offshore structures. His experience includes an internship with an international law firm in Munich and with Deutsche Bank AG in Frankfurt am Main. He is a German speaker. Outside of work, Ian enjoys travel, history and literature and he is an active member and former direct and deputy chairman of a club in the St James’ district of London.
